In the past decade, Mr. Trinh Lai’s was most recognized as a founder
of multiple luxury restaurants and bars in Ho Chi Minh City: Chill
Sky Bar, Sorae, Qui Cuisine & Mixology, Envy Club and Chinese
restaurant chain San Fu Lou… He grew up in Denmark, and was working
as early as 14 years old in various positions in the F&B industry:
from being a waiter to a bartender, restaurant manager… At the age
of 18 – he started his own fast food store. This early success
encouraged and gave him the confidence to acquire a Chinese
restaurant and completely transform it into one of the hottest spot
in town. At the age of 25, he had opened up to 9 outlets of
restaurants and coffee shops in Denmark. In 2007, after exploring
many countries in the world, he came back to visit Vietnam and
immediately recognized the immense potential of this market. Within
1 year of researching, experiencing and making connections in the
city, he decided to challenge himself with the mission to create
brands such as Chill Sky Bar, Sorae and Chinese restaurant chain San
Fu Lou. In 2016, I created VISE Hospitality with Qui – A fusion,
Asian inspired Lounge & Restaurant; and Envy, Club-house with a
theatre flare. This was a completely new concept for the Vietnamese
market.
After transferring these restaurants to investors, Mr. Lai
challenged himself again to create a new empire – EMG Element
Management Group in 2017 with many exciting and exceptional
projects: SKY XX, PRIME XXI, Lai, Towa, ROS, and Mister Lai
Kitchen.
In Feb 2020, EMG transformed itself while turning to the next stage
of Lifestyle by switching to ELG – Elements LAIFEstyle Group.
